Buddha once said, “We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.”

When we’re anxious, it is super easy to fall into a cycle of negative and worrying thoughts.
Even though there is a part of you that knows you’re being irrational, you can’t help but listen to that other part of you that says:
“What if that mole is skin cancer?”
or
“This is a pretty bad headache, could be something serious like a brain tumor”
or
“Acid reflux shouldn’t be hurting your chest this much, better go to the ER, it’s probably a heart attack”
Or maybe for you it’s an emotional irrational reaction that says:
“Better not say that, they’re going to think you’re stupid”
or
“Don’t post that video to Instagram, someone might leave a horrible comment”
And on and on it goes…
I’ll be the first one to stand up and say to you that positive thinking isn’t meant to be the be-all and end-all of self-development.
These daily affirmations for anxiety are not meant to cure or heal you.
But they can offer you solace day to day, they can help give you a boost when things feel overwhelming.
